SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. 60 Litrai or Dekadrachm (Electrum, 15 mm, 4.27 g, 1 h). Head of Persephone left, wearing wreath of grain ears and necklace; behind, wreath. Rev. [IEPΩNOΣ] Nike, holding kentron in right hand, reins in left, driving fast biga left. Carroccio 76. SNG Copenhagen 817. Early die state with less die rust than usual. Minor area of smoothing on the obverse and light traces of mounting, otherwise, good very fine.
